Between Two Parents is a free online co-parenting program run by the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles. It is only available to parents the court has ordered to take it: you log in with your Family Law or Probate case number and a password provided by the court. The program has six sessions of up to about an hour each, the system makes you wait seven days between sessions, and once you start you must finish within 50 days. After Session 6 you print a certificate of completion to file with the court.

Which courts order or accept Between Two Parents

The court’s own program page says Between Two Parents “is only available to parents by Court order,” that the court has ordered both you and your child’s other parent to complete it, and that you print a certificate of completion after Session 6 to file with the court.

After you complete Session 6, the program lets you print a certificate of completion, which you file with the court. The court’s program requirements note that the system records your log-in and log-out times and checks that you answered all questions, so work through every session fully.
Confirm your court accepts Between Two Parents
- This is a Los Angeles Superior Court program that you access with an LA Family Law or Probate case number and a court-issued password. If your case is in another California county, your court will name its own orientation or class — check your order.
- If your order names Between Two Parents, a different online co-parenting class from another company is not the same program. Match the exact name on your order.
- Plan for the calendar, not just the hours: with a seven-day gap between six sessions, you cannot finish in a weekend. Start early enough to meet any deadline in your order.
